USA Character Fantasy. USA Network. Magical Elves Inc.
This was one of the first shows I worked on in Los Angeles. Each week, a guest would get to fulfill one of their "character fantasies," Host Jeannie Mai, would then take us along on the journey to become anything from a cruise ship captain to a ballroom dancer. Every episode was something fun and new.
The crew was small and stress free, a nice groove. Our producer and camera teams were totally in sync, and our host Jeannie Mai is such a nice person with great vibes. Our shoot days were pretty enjoyable, the on-camera guests had a blast, it made for a good work schedule.
For me, as a production assistant, this was a great way to get comfortable navigating around Hollywood and greater LA, while working in different aspects of a production and being able to learn from working directly with key department heads.
